ALL UNITS SOLD WITH SPARE WATERTIGHT REPLACEMENT SEAL I have been using this unit for the past 60 months with incredible results eliminating green and brown algae from my Florida pool. Prior to introducing this unit, I was having constant growth of Green Algae. I previously kept very high Chlorine levels to stop the algae growth. I damaged two Hayward pumps in one year due to excessive chlorine. This Solar Powered Ionizer produces seven volts of electricity which pass over a 450-gram Copper Silver Anode. This releases copper and silver ions into your pool water. The copper and Silver Ions now become the sanitizing agent instead of the Chlorine. Within two weeks of use, your pool water will be clear with no algae on the pool surfaces. You will need to maintain reasonable chlorine levels, pH and Total Alkalinity for maximum results. Congratulation with the Ionizer you are now sanitizing with copper and silver ions. Your chlorine consumption will be minimal. I have been using only one chlorine puck in my floater for 15000 gallons of water. You will know the unit is working by the dramatically improved clarity of your water and the absence of algae. When you remove the unit from the pool you will see green purplish copper residue in your basket. The appearance of the residue will tell you the unit is working. I took a picture of my basket to show you the green purplish residue. About every month you can service the unit by removing and rinsing the basket and rinsing the Stainless-Steel spring. Do not use anything abrasive on the anode, this will damage the anode and shorten the life. You can wipe with a soft sponge if desired. You can expect the anode to last four to six months with continuous use. I will be able to replace the Anode, Basket and Wing Nut when needed at a reasonable cost to you. I do not include a copper test kit. Copper test kits are highly unreliable and unnecessary. Make sure your pool is free from Algae and your chemistry is reasonable. You’re now ready to operate the Ionizer in your pool. I will provide all my contact information. You can call me when you receive to discuss the Unit application.
