Shipped with USPS First Class Mail. Banana Cantaloupe is an unusual oblong-shaped tropical melon that has been popular since the 19th century! These 1 1/2 – 2 foot-long melons were attractive in agricultural fairs for their elongated, pointed shape, yellow rind, and strong banana-like scent. The flesh is rich salmon-orange with a soft, juicy texture and has a sweet flavor. Fruits can weigh up to 5-10 lbs and are green-skinned when growing before ripening to yellow. A rich source of potassium, vitamin A, and vitamin C. We ship in 1 business day. Shipped with USPS First Class Mail. Plant Name: Melon, Banana Cantaloupe Latin Name: Cucumis melo Days to Germinate: 7-14 Days to Harvest: 80-100 Germination Rate: 93% Test Date: 11/23 Growth Habit: Vine USDA Zones: 3-12 Lifespan: Annual Brand: TomorrowSeeds Sunlight: Full Sun, Partial Shade GMO: No Pollination: Heirloom, Open-Pollinated Fungicide-Treated Seeds*: No Seeds Packed For**: 2024 *Fungicide-treated seeds protect the seedlings from diseases until they are up and growing. Do not eat treated seeds. **Seeds are freshly packed for the growing season of the year listed. Seeds are still viable beyond pack date. Store in a cool and dry location such as the refrigerator or basement to best preserve germination rates. Planting Instructions: Soil Preparation: Prepare soil by removing large weeds, large rocks, and litter from the planting area. Dig or plow the soil 8-10 inches deep in winter or early spring. You may optionally apply manure or compost at 50-100 pounds per 1,000 square feet, or 2-4 tons per acre , to build the organic matter content of the soil. Turn the soil over to cover organic material completely. Next, work the soil into ridges or hills 4-8 inches high and 12-14 inches wide. This creates well-draining soil beds. Heavier soils may require higher soil beds. Place rows of muskmelons 6-8 feet apart. Since melons are vining crops, they require a lot of space and are best for larger gardens or lot-sized urban gardens; they may grow in small gardens if vines are trellised and the fruit is supported. Melons grow best in deep, well-draining sandy or sandy loam soil with plenty of organic matter and a neutral pH. Heavy soils with lots of clay may cause smaller sized plants and produce fewer melons. Planting: Try not to plant seeds until the soil warms in the spring and all danger of frost is past since melons are warm-season crops and can be easily injured by frost. Black plastic mulch can help to increase soil temperature and give melons an earlier start on growth. To direct sow, plant 6-8 seeds 1-1 1/2 inches deep in hills spaced 2-3 feet apart within rows. Water after planting if soil is dry. Transplanting, in contrast to direct sowing, may save 10-12 days of harvest time. To transplant, plant seeds in peat pots 2-4 weeks before transplanting. Transplant into the garden before the second true leaf opens (“true leaves” are the first two large leaves that appear before the smaller “seed leaves” appear). After melon plants break through the soil, thin to 2 plants per hill. Planting Depth: 1- 1/2 inch Within-Row Spacing: 2-3 feet Between-Row Spacing: 6-8 feet Care During the Season: Watering: Water the at least 1 inch per week. High temperatures, high winds, and sandy soils will increase the need for water. Weeding and Pruning: Keep plants as weed-free as possible. When plowing or hoeing, be careful not to cut too deeply into the soil near the melon plants as cutting the feeder rooters which may slow the plant’s growth. Pruning can increase fruit size of muskmelons and honeydews, but it is usually not needed. Fertilizing: Melons benefit from small amounts of fertilizer in 2 or 3 applications. Dig a 4-6 inch deep trench, about 2 inches from the side of the row, all down the row. You may optionally scatter 2-3 pounds of fertilizer for every 60-70 feet of row in the trench. Phosphorous is important for muskmelons at planting and nitrogen is important when vines begin to run. Cover the fertilizer and plant so seeds do not touch the fertilizer. Make the second fertilizer application when vines are 8 inches long. Insecticides: Insecticides may be used to protect plants. Bt-based insecticides and sulfur are organic options that can be used for prevention. Sulfur also has fungicidal properties and helps in controlling many diseases. Bt neem oil can be used to control the spider mites, and pyrethins can control for the cucumber beetle. Neem oil and insecticidal soaps are good ways to control for aphids. Before using a pesticide, read the label and always follow cautions, warnings and directions. Diseases: Rotating crops is important for disease control. To prevent build-up of diseases, it is advised that melons should not be planted in the same place more than once every 3 or 4 years. If spots appear on the leaves and no insects are present, a fungicide may be needed. Neem oil, sulfur, and other fungicides may be used. Please always follow label directions. Harvesting: Harvest muskmelons when the fruit rind changes to a yellowish-orange color, the stem begins to separate or slip from the fruit, and the odor gets strong. If left long enough, the stem will naturally separate from the fruit (call “full slip”). Fruit at this stage should be used within 36-48 hours as it may spoil soon. For better quality, harvest fruits at the “half slip” stage when the stem is partially separated from the fruit. Try not to harvest melons too early because the sugar content does not increase after harvest. Muskmelons can improve in flavor after harvest, but this is usually due to mellowing of the flesh. English Telegraph Burpless Cucumber Seeds | Heirloom Crisp Cucumbers Seed 2025

The English Telegraph Burpless Cucumber is a classic heirloom variety cherished for its long, slender shape, excellent texture, productive growth. Growing 12-18 inches in length, this smooth, dark green cucumber boasts a crisp, non-bitter flavor with minimal seeds, making it perfect for fresh eating, salads, and sandwiches. The English Telegraph Cucumber was a favorite in Victorian England, often grown in heated greenhouses called “cucumber houses” to ensure a steady supply year-round, especially during the colder months. English Telegraph Burpless is an excellent choice for both greenhouse and outdoor cultivation. Burpless cucumbers are bred with low levels of cucurbitacin, making it easier to digest! They are sometimes called “English or European Cucumbers,” and are wrapped in plastic in stores to protect this thin-skinned variety. Delicious for slicing and great for crisp pickles. This cucumber’s versatility and delightful taste make it a staple in any garden and kitchen. Also Known As: Victorian Cucumber, Hothouse Cucumber, Greenhouse Cucumber, Near-Seedless Cucumber, European Cucumber, Burpless Cucumber, Long Cucumber, Improved Telegraph Cucumber, Continental Cucumber, Slicing Cucumber, Garden Cucumber. We ship in 1 business day. Shipped with USPS First Class Mail. Planting Instructions: Soil Preparation: Remove weeds, large rocks, and litter from the planting area. Leave small weeds and dead grass, they will enrich the soil when turned under. Spade the soil 8-12 inches deep and turn each shovel of soil over completely to cover the plant materials with soil. You may add fertilizer or organic matter at this point (see “Fertilizing” below). Make rows of soil beds 4-6 inches high and at least 3 feet apart. This formation of ridges will help with drainage, which is essential for cucumbers. Planting: Since cucumbers cannot survive frost, plant only after all danger of frost has passed and the soil begins to warm. Choose an area with full sunlight, well-drained soil, and away from tree roots. To plant, make 1 inch deep holes spaced 12-14 inches apart in raised beds down the rows, then plant 3-4 cucumber seeds in each hole. Cover seeds with about 1 inch of fine soil and firm the soil with the flat side of a hoe, but do not pack it. By planting several seeds, you are more likely to get a stand. Remove extra plants after seedlings emerge. Cucumber vines can reach 6-8 feet long or more and require lots of space. In large gardens, cucumbers can be spread on the ground. In small gardens, cucumbers can be trained on a fence, trellis, cage, or along a wire attached to a wall. If wire cages are used, plant along the cage or trellis. *Tip: You can plant fast maturing crops such as lettuce and radishes between cucumber hills to save space. These will be harvested before the cucumber vines get too large. Planting Depth: 1 inch Within-Row Spacing: 12 inches, trellis Between-Row Spacing: 3 feet Care During the Season: Watering: Water the plants well about once a week if it does not rain. Weeding: Keep cucumbers plants as weed-free as possible. When plowing or hoeing do not dig deeper than 1 inch to prevent from cutting the feeder rooters which may slow the plant’s growth. Cucumbers produce both male and female flowers. Male flowers will open first then drop off while female flowers will form the cucumber and should not drop off. *Tip: You can use a cotton swab to touch the inside of each male and female flower to pollinate the flowers and help them develop in into fruit. Fertilizing: Cucumbers require plenty of fertilizer, scatter 1 cup of a complete fertilizer for each 10 feet of row. Work into the soil and leave the surface smooth. When vines are 10-12 inches long, you may optionally apply 1/2 cup of fertilizer for each 10 feet of row, or 1 tablespoon per plant. Water the plants after fertilizing. Insecticides: Insecticides may be used to protect plants. Bt-based insecticides and sulfur are organic options. Sulfur also has fungicidal properties and helps in controlling many diseases. Before using a pesticide, read the label and always follow cautions, warnings and directions. Diseases: Diseases can show up as spots on the upper or lower sides of leaves or cucumbers. Check the plants daily and if these spots appear, treat the plant with an approved fungicide. Neem oil, sulfur, and other fungicides may be used. Please always follow label directions. Harvesting: Harvest cucumbers when reach the desired size and are green in color. Telegraph Cucumbers for slicing are best picked when they are 10-13 inches long and 1 inch or more in diameter when mature. Cucumbers grown for pickling are best 3-4 inches long and up to 1 inch in diameter at maturity. Either type can be used for pickling if picked when small. Try not to wait until cucumbers turn yellow because they will be over-mature and have a strong flavor.

Plant Name: Cucumber, English Telegraph Burpless Latin Name: Cucumis sativus Days to Germinate: 3-10 Days to Harvest: 63 Germination Rate: 89% Test Date: 7/24 Growth Habit: Vining USDA Zones: 2-10 Lifespan: Annual Brand: TomorrowSeeds Sunlight: Full Sun, Partial Shade GMO: No Pollination: Heirloom, Open-Pollinated Fungicide-Treated Seeds*: No Seeds Packed For**: 2025 *Fungicide-treated seeds protect the seedlings from diseases until they are up and growing. Do not eat treated seeds. **Seeds are freshly packed for the growing season of the year listed. Seeds are still viable beyond pack date. Store in a cool and dry location such as the refrigerator or basement to best preserve germination rates. Highlights: Product Type: SeedsUse: Outdoor PlantsCultivating Difficulty Degree: Very EasyFull-bloom Period: SummerType: Blooming PlantsFunction: BeautifyingSize: SmallApplicable Constellation: LibraVariety: RoseClimate: SubtropicsStyle: Annual Starting the rose seedsBefore growing the roses from seed, the seeds have to undergo a period of stratification. This is a cold moist storage that gets the seeds ready for germination.Cold TreatmentChilling your seeds in a refrigerator for about six to ten weeks encourages them to germinate faster once planted. However, you must take care to avoid keeping them cold for long as they can germinate while still in the refrigerator. Place your seeds on a paper towel before moistening them. Use half purified water and half peroxide to prevent the growth of mould. You can then place them in a plastic zippered bag, mark the date and variety before placing in a refrigerator set at 1 to 3 degrees C. The paper towel should remain moist for the entire period. You can check occasionally to see if it needs remoistening. Make sure you don’t freeze the towel. There are other ways to stratify the seeds like planting them in a tray of potting mix and refrigerating the entire tray for weeks. The tray is usually enclosed in a plastic bag to keep it moist.Planting your seedsWhen you think your seeds are ready for planting (6-10 weeks), remove the bag from the refrigerator if that was your stratification method. You will need shallow trays or small pots to plant your seeds. Whatever works between the trays and pots is fine as long they have good drainage. The ideal size of the trays or pots should be 3-4 inches deep. You can use separate trays when planting seeds from different varieties of rose hips. You must follow your labeling all the way down from harvesting, treatment, and planting. The rose bush name and planting date are some of the details to indicate on your trays or pots.Next fill your trays or pots with the potting soil. You can opt to use 50% sterile potting soil and 50% vermiculite, or half peat and half perlite. When the potting mix is ready in the trays or pots, this is the time to take off your seeds from the towel. Remember the seeds must not be removed from the plastic bag until they are ready to be planted. You lightly dust them before planting.Place your seeds about ¼ inch into the soil and dust the surface again to prevent the damp off disease that kills seeds. Water them properly and place them outside in direct sunlight. If there is frost, it is advised you place your seeds under a tree or in a sheltered part of the patio to protect them. There is no need for grow lights.Keep the soil pots or trays watered but not soggy. Do not let them dry up as this might affect the germination of your seeds.Watch for germinationAfter about six weeks, the first two seed leaves will start to emerge before the true leaves can emerge. The seedling must have three to four true leaves before they can be ready for transplanting.Planting your seedlingsWhen the seedlings are grown a few inches tall with at least three true leaves, they are ready to be transplanted. You can transplant them into a four-inch pot of your liking. You don’t have to plant all your seedlings but only the healthy ones. You can choose to monitor them on the tray and only transplant them when they have outgrown it.You must monitor the seedlings as they grow in their new pots for colour, form, bush size, branching, and disease resistance. Roses with weak, unhealthy or unattractive flowers can be discarded. It will take your new seedlings at least three years before they reach maturity and develop into a big bush. However, the first flower can be seen after one or two years.

Squash served as a ground cover, preventing weeds from growing. Beans provided natural fertilizer for all. Plant Name: Sweet Corn, Honey Select Triplesweet Latin Name: Zea mays Days to Germinate: 10-14 Days to Harvest: 72 Germination Rate: 98% Test Date: 11/23 Growth Habit: Upright USDA Zones: 4-9 Lifespan: Annual Brand: TomorrowSeeds Sunlight: Full Sun, Partial Shade GMO: No Pollination: Hybrid Fungicide-Treated Seeds*: No Seeds Packed For**: 2024 *Fungicide-treated seeds protect the seedlings from diseases until they are up and growing. Do not eat treated seeds. **Seeds are freshly packed for the growing season of the year listed. Seeds are still viable beyond pack date. Store in a cool and dry location such as the refrigerator or basement to best preserve germination rates. Planting Instructions: Soil Preparation and Fertilizing: For small gardens, sweet corn is best planted in square blocks instead of long rows to improve cross-pollination between corn stalks. Corn will grow best in areas with plenty of sunlight and prefers well-drained soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.0. To prepare the soil, clear the area of rocks, trash, and large sticks. Small pieces of grass and leaves can be mixed into the soil to make it richer. Spade the soil 8-10 inches deep and completely cover plant material. You may optionally scatter 2-3 pounds of a complete fertilizer for every 100 square feet of garden area. Rake it into the top 4 inches of soil. Rake the soil until it is smooth. Planting: Sweet corn is best planted after the soil warms and is free from all danger of frost. Plant 1-2 ounces of seed for every 100 feet of row. Sweet corn grows best when planted in several short rows instead of one long row. This makes it easier for the plants to pollinate and grow plump juicy kernels. Plant corn seeds 1 inch deep and 3-4 inches apart. Space rows 2 1/2 – 3 feet apart. After the plants are up, thin them to 1 foot apart. For a steady harvest, plant again after 2-3 weeks. Planting Depth: 1 inch Within-Row Spacing: 3-4 inch, thin to 1 foot Between-Row Spacing: 2 1/2 – 3 feet Care During the Season: Watering: Water sweet corn as needed to keep it from wilting. When kernels are forming, try not to let the corn suffer from lack of water. Weeding and Fertilizing: Hoe the weeds off just below the soil’s’ surface. Try not to work the soil more than 1 inch deep to prevent injuring root systems. When corn plants are about 2 feet fall, you may optionally apply 1 cup of fertilizer for every 10 feet of garden row. Scatter fertilizer evenly between rows and mix it lightly with the soil. Water after fertilizing. Insecticides: Insecticides may be used to protect plants. Bt-based insecticides and sulfur are organic options that can be used for prevention. Sevin is a synthetic option. Sulfur also has fungicidal properties and helps in controlling many diseases. Before using a pesticide, please read the label and always follow cautions, warnings and directions. Diseases: If a few of your corn plants are stunted, they may have a viral disease and should be removed to keep the virus from spreading. Harvesting: Corn are ready for harvest about 3 weeks after the tassel grows on top of the corn plant. Corn is ripe when juice from the kernels is milky white, the silk on the ears has turned dark brown, the ears are firm, and kernels on the tips of the unhusked ears are plump and milky. Sweet corn is not ready when the juice of the kernel is watery. It is overripe when the kernels get large, chewy, and pasty like dough (starchy). The The best time to pick corn is in the early morning or evening when it is cool. To harvest the ears, hold the stalk below the ear and twist the tip of the ear toward the ground until it breaks off. Cook the corn right away, or store it in the refrigerator until mealtime. Corn loses flavor and nutrients quickly when left athigh temperature. Watch the corn closely because the quality changes fast. To store corn, keep corn in the husk and place in the refrigerator uncovered for 1 or 2 days. Corn stored for more than 2 daysloses its sweetness.
