1 RARE STRIPED HALALI SUGAR CANE (2 Nodes)- Live Plant cutting by World Seed

Striped Halali is a rare heirloom Hawaiian sugar cane variety with the coolest of colored stems and a juicy sweetness to match. This variety is a lot like Hilo Buddha, which we also offer, but it remains flat instead of bulging between nodes. This variety is very hard to find. It was almost lost. These are thriving plants grown in the Florida sun, which is a perfect environment for sugar cane. Sugar cane is a type of grass, and it is easy-to-grow and fast-growing once it gets established. Established sugar cane multiplies rapidly by sending out new shoots from the base. Sugar cane will grow outdoors year-round in zones 9 and up, but you can grow in zone 8 with protection and anywhere else by bringing it in for the winter months. Cover the base with a thick layer of mulch, even up to several feet thick for added frost protection. They are said to be hardy to about 20 degrees Fahrenheit, and a good layer of mulch, especially one that is warmed by active decomposition, can help keep your roots warm even past an air temperature of 20 degrees. You can also grow them in big containers if you need to move them indoors. A 50/50 mix of potting soil and perlite will help keep big pots light for moving, so long as you keep them well watered in the hot months. You will get a 4-6″ cutting with at least 2 nodes. Many of our stalks already have aerial roots. Sugar cane roots rather easily as long as it does not dry out or be allowed to mold. We will make fresh cuttings or ship rooted cuttings, depending on stock and time of year. Growing Information: Sugar Cane roots easily in most growing medium Coco coir or peat moss will work well. You just need to keep the soil moist. Spraying with a copper solution can help fight off mold. But the cutting will usually root pretty easily if they don’t dry out or get too wet. Once established, sugar cane likes a well-draining, fertile sandy soil and full sun. They will survive with less sun, but they thrive in hot, humid environments.

DO NOT plant succulents in a container without drainage holes. This will cause the root to rot. 2. Water your succulent plant when dry, never water when wet, damp or moist. Succulents like their roots to dry out really quickly.  3. In the beginning, freshly planted succulent plants will need a little TLC. Place them to an area where there is bright, indirect sunlight, or part shaded/part sunlight area then gradually introduce them to direct sunlight once they thrive and become established. This usually takes a few weeks. 4. For indoor setting, place them on the brightest area possible. Happy Planting 🙂 I truly believe in great customer satisfaction.
